Waterproof mats can be used in gardening for lining tables, window sills and other surfaces in greenhouses and foil tunnels for the production of potted and bedding plants (in the seedling phase or further development stages).

The underwater mat is a replacement for the previously used natural substrate made of peat or ground bark. They are also recommended for display tables with plants in stores and garden centers.

To protect the mats against algae growth, they are covered from above with a thin black foil with micro-perforations.
